Halloween bottomless brunch

We attended the Halloween bottomless brunch and, overall, the atmosphere and vibe were really good. The drinks selection was good, the food was genuinely lovely, and the event itself had the potential to be a really great experience.

However, there were a few issues that unfortunately let the experience down, particularly with the service.

To start with, we were a group of eight and, at no point, were we informed that the bottomless brunch allowance was one jug per three people. We were initially brought five jugs, so naturally we assumed everything was fine. The starters arrived and the food quality was really good, followed by our mains.

The biggest frustration was having a member of staff approach our table with the card machine while we were still eating our mains. We hadn’t even finished our food, and yet we were being asked to pay. There is absolutely no reason why customers should be rushed to pay while they’re still trying to enjoy their meal. Surely the bill can be brought over once everyone has finished eating?

There was also a lack of communication throughout the brunch. Towards the end of our 90 minutes, we ordered additional drinks, but some never arrived. An iced peach drink was missing, and we were also sent a jug that we hadn’t ordered. When we explained that we had actually ordered and the member of staff refused to replace the incorrect jug, stating that our time was up and that we were only entitled to one jug per three people. Again, this allowance had never been explained to us, and we had already been served five jugs without any issue.

Thankfully, another member of staff, a lovely lady, came over and sorted the situation by bringing us the correct drink. She was really helpful, but it shouldn’t have taken a second member of staff to resolve something that could have easily been dealt with in the first place.

In terms of the entertainment, the music upstairs changed from more mainstream party music to house music as the brunch turned into the after-party, which was absolutely fine. However, the downstairs area seemed to play the same music we’d already heard upstairs, so there wasn’t much variety between the two floors.

Overall, we had a good time, the atmosphere was great, the drinks were enjoyable and the food was lovely. However, the service, lack of communication and being rushed to pay while eating really weren’t acceptable. It’s a shame because the event itself was good, but the customer service could definitely do with some improvement. A little better communication and consideration for customers would make a huge difference.

Food is so good and the vibes are amazing

Food is so good and the vibes are so amazing, everyone’s up dancing. It’s like a nightclub with bottomless drinks and food. Service is good too, you get a lot of drink for your money. This is something a lot of other brunches get wrong.

Music too loud, good mediocre

Unfortunately my friend got food poisoning after eating their classic burger. The food in general is mediocre so I made sure to eat elsewhere beforehand. The music is way too loud to hear your group talk. Several of my guests actually put earphones in because it was uncomfortably loud. This event is good if you’re just looking to drink and dance. But for a social event, the R&B night is a miss. I also think the DJ’s song choices were a little 2016 club night rather than the best of R&B and hip hop hits. A positive is the bottomless cocktail is sufficient drinks wise. I definitely felt like they gave us enough to drink. The staff were good too and accommodating of any booking changes

Don’t bother

We were told to arrive 15 mins earlier than our time slot but I’m unsure why as we weren’t allowed upstairs until 5 mins after our time slot so we were left standing flr
20 mins downstairs for no reason. Food was terrible, chicken burger was dry, vegetable kebab was just a plate of bland and unappetising peppers and aubergine. I had one mouthful and left the rest. Music was ok u til they just kept playing the same songs over and over 3-4 times. We got bored and left by 9.30pm

Food was absolutely awful. All frozen such bad quality. Service also awful. Drinks was good and good choice however the fact they was serviced in a horrible plastic cup ruined it
